I've never heard of anyone having reliability issues with a Vector Uzi SMG, unless they had a weld fail. I've got too much tied up in it to get rid of it, but if I had to do it all over again I would spend more money up front and get an IMI.ĭifferent animal than the vector Uzi SMGs. When I talked to Vector, the guy on the phone said they did not have an Uzi tech in the shop. Vector will not work on it because SBRing voided the warranty. It's never been able to cycle more than 10 rounds without a jam, usually double feeds. Personally, though, I don't think I would ever buy anything else they made. If this one is know to work and if you can have the welds inspected, it might be worth grabbing. My two rifles were new and they were never right. I sent it in for repair but it took like 8 months and many calls to get it back, at which point I went from UPS directly to my FFL to sell it. In addition to the Uzi, I also had one of their V93 clones that was jacked up as well. I like that rifle and really wanted it to be right, but after all that I walked away. They also returned it with a bolt that looked like it was coated with 60 grit sandpaper before being parkerized. On the second trip back to me, they put the wrong address on the box and it ended up at some random house down the street. I think the receiver ended up being twisted on top of some other things.
It had to go back to them twice to be able to get through a mag without multiple jams. I can't speak for their NFA stuff, but I had one of their 16" semi Uzis that was a total trainwreck.
